Graduates of the Postgraduate Programme (MSc) “Educational Sciences: Special Education” are expected to become highly qualified scholars and competent professionals, capable of staffing special education structures in both the public and private sectors and fully responding to the complex role of the Special Education Teacher.
They may also be employed in various non-formal and informal education settings, contributing to the design and implementation of interventions aimed at the holistic development and inclusion of individuals with disabilities and/or special educational needs.
By ministerial decision (Government Gazette 1217/10.04.2019, Issue B), the relevance of the MSc to the field of Special Education and Training (S.E.T.) has been officially recognised.
In addition, the MSc meets the requirements of the legislation regarding certification of pedagogical competence for its graduates, in accordance with the provisions of Law 4547/2018 (Article 111).
